Illustration Friday - COLD

This is an acrylic painting done as an entry for a local 'design a christmas card' competion i read about in the local paper ages ago but only just managed to finish by the deadline of today.
After sprinting up to the clock tower to take some reference photos and 4 hours hard graft in the study, I'm quite finished with the result and conveniently it fits into the IF criteria of 'cold'.

Once when I was a kid, I was hit in the face with a snowball and lost my sense of balance and then next thing I knew, I was totally cold and wet and laying in a gutter. For some reason, this painting totally reminds me of that.

Great job!

i agree, this is a really cool perspective. and i love the technique you used to give the snow some depth, too.

I like the colors, and the small-town feel.
